  3. Product Description:
  4. SoftBench Link/1000 Encapsulation transparently integrates the HP 1000
  5. A-Series into the SoftBench environment for HP-UX.  SoftBench Link/1000
  6. Encapsulation, in conjunction with SoftBench, provides a core set of
  7. tools for RTE-A application construction, testing, and maintenance.
  8. The programmer edits and administrates HP 1000 source code on an HP
  9. 9000 with the standard SoftBench functionality.  SoftBench Link/1000
  10. Encapsulation provides the link between the HP 1000 and the HP 9000 so
  11. architecturally-dependent tasks (such as compile, link, debug) are
  12. executed transparent to the user.  For the first time the HP 1000 users
  13. can take advantage of standard techniques in software development.
  14. Such techniques include revision control, source file access control,
  15. as well as automated tasks in the edit-compile-link test cycle.  With
  16. improved windowing capability and a simple user interface, SoftBench
  17. Link/1000 Encapsulation results in increased productivity and quality
  18. in the software development environment on the HP 1000 A-Series system.

  20. SoftBench Link/1000 Encapulation supports program development for the
  21. HP 1000 in HP C/1000, FORTRAN 77, and Macro/1000, and integrates the
  22. standard Debug/1000 debugger into the SoftBench environment for HP-UX.
